Getting started on the front axle

So after trying huge shackles and a Z-bar, I ended up with a wretch that can't drive over 25 mph, and violently pulls left on every little bump. I have to do a spring over axle lift, at least. So I drive to Bakersfield to buy a pair of worn out front axles, and a home-made Z-bar from a great guy on Craigslist. Now I'm rebuiding car axles in my single apartment. Since I'm doing that, I might as well put a locking differential in there also. I don't know how any of it works yet, but that never stops me. Although they were bent up, this axle already had spring perches welded on for a spring over axle lift. This is how it looked after cleaning the grease off. After spending days cleaning out the hubs and knuckles, I decided to paint them. The white paint looks great here, but once installed it got ugly fast.
